A comic book comes to life with Music City Mystique’s 2008 production, “The Adventures of . . .”  While this gifted group may appear to be mild-mannered average Joes, once they strap on their drums they become superheroes to legions of WGI fans.  The production explores character attributes that define traditional notions of a hero.  With larger-than-life backdrops created like the pages of an illustrated comic book, Mystiques puts on a Marvel-ous display with crisp playing and great attention to detail.  In the end, Mystique reminds us that what makes a hero is not who we are or where we are from, but how we overcome the obstacles in our lives.
