I wanted to extent a thank you to all the people involved with Music City Mystique this year.  The group had two amazing runs Finals week and I could not have been more happy with our performers.  You all conducted yourselves with class and dignity, and really showed your true “Mystique”. 

MCM would also like to say Congrats to all the participants especially PIW Medalists Rhythm X, RCC, and Amachi. 

Thank you to the Board and Staff for your hard work, now we can start getting ready for 2009, our 15th Season!

Music City Mystique would like to extend thanks to all the people who helped work the WGI Mid-South Regional at Vanderbilt 3/29 and 3/30. The show ran very well and we could not have done it without your help!! We would also like to thank our partners, Independence High School band, especially Band Director Chris Cooper for all of the hours and preparation that made this years regional great.

On Friday, November 30th, Music City Mystique performed live with Keith Urban at Nashville’s Sommett Center.  Over 18,000 packed the sold out show and were treated to a great night of music and an energetic performance from Music City Mystique.  MCM would like to thank Keith Urban and all those who helped us be a part of this great event.

MCM is proud to announce its performance schedule for the upcoming 2008 season.  Scheduled performances (subject to change) are as follows:

February 2nd - SCGC Show - Brooks High School (Killen, Alabama)

March 1st - SCGC Show - Oak Grove HS (Oak Grove, AL)

March 15th / 16th - WGI Mideast Regional - Kettering Fairmont High School (Dayton, OH)

March 29th / 30th - WGI Nashville Regional - Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN)

April 5th - SCGC Championships - Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN)

April 18th / 19th - WGI World Championships - University of Dayton (Dayton, OH)

Performance times will be posted as those details become available.  Also check www.wgi.org and www.scgconline.org for more details about individual events.  Additional performances will be posted as they are added to the schedule.

Music City Mystique travelled to Dayton, OH this past weekend 3/2-3/5 and came away with a huge win over tough competition.  The group finished finals with a score of 91.9, jumping up almost 3 points from the prelims performance.  Congratulations to the members and staff for a great show!  Look for MCM at the Mid-South WGI regional later this month at Independence HS March 24-25.

Please make your plans to come see the 2007 MCM program.  All performances and times are subject to change.  Additional performances may be added. 

Auditions for the 2007 MCM Ensemble were conducted over the weekends of December 2nd and 9th.  The turnout of talent has exceeded any previous year.  The competition for placement was extemely tight as each section was very well represented.  The MCM staff is extremely excited about this year’s ensemble and would like to thank all of those who auditioned.  The only regret is that we couldn’t accept more into the ensemble.  Everyone had such great attitudes and worked very hard during the audition process.  We hope those that did not make this year’s ensemble will participate with another ensemble and will make plans to return for the 2008 auditions in December 2007.
